Being able to watch everyone get ready for the race is quite a thrill.  All the crews work so hard for so long to make things happen on the track.  This is a little tour of the pits, where there is another race, the race for making the quickest and best handling car.

My wife is an Elliot Saddler fan so I couldn't get out of the pits without getting a few shots of his pit stall and the man that makes it all possible for the 38 Richard Yates, seen in the second shot signing hats (I got one for my wife later)   and I am a Tony Stewart fan so naturally I had to get a few shots of his pit stall,

Unless you've been there it's hard to comprehend just how much banking there is on a track.  Homestead-Miami Speedway is variable banking, meaning the bottom groove is 18 degrees and at the top it's 20 degrees.  When it comes to what that means I tried to capture it with these photo's..

Lastly, on this page, there was a lot of hoopla at the Sharpie trailer outside the stands.  I think they gave away more Sharpie's than there were beer's sold at the race.
